Genesis 3:17-18

Cursed is the ground...and it will produce thorns and thistles for you.. (what about burrs?)

At least someone is enjoying, and making good use of the thistles!

We are getting ready to expand one of our pastures and there is a lot of "toiling" that will need to be done before the sheep are allowed in, as all of these pictures were taken in the new field.

  1. I love thistles - I find them very interesting, and the milk thistles are great when the finches start visiting to pullout the thistle seed. Any word on the 127 sale? I am going to start boxing up stuff this weekend.

  2. We have so many thistles. The sweet little finches come to eat in the fall. Then you see Abbey, our black house cat with a small yellow feather sticking out of her mouth. Then it aint so cute. They do horrible things to the sheeps wool too. Darn thistles.

  3. If only we could cultivate a 'garden' of them that wouldn't spread! Then we'd have the pretty flowers and the feed for the finches ~ without the pain-in-the-butt of having them all over our pastures and sheep!
