Coming Soon... more snow!

Looks like they're calling for more snow here in a few days.

This picture was taken before the last 9 inches came this week. (taken a few miles from our place)
The next picture here was the road after the snow... It was a level 2 snow emergency, which means you can be on it only if you need to feed sheep and the hay is up the road.
So, after the sheep were fed, we stayed in!
Wyatt has started to laugh more in the past week. The first few times we heard him laugh, he was sleeping and apparantly dreaming about something funny :)
He thinks we're funny now.

.
I had read a lot of good things about slings and the benefits. Found a great website with a pattern, and once it was made, after a few days of being puzzled over it,,, I finally figured out how to use it. There's apparantly 4 or 5 different ways that you can carry the baby in these, but i had trouble figuring out a single way! ( i know, it looks so simple)
I'm starting to enjoy the sling now...

and I think he is too!

  2. csl, thanks for the nice comment on little Wyatt. As far as the sling, it was a super simple pattern.. just cut the fabric and sew along the edges.. it was simple. The snow- I heard at one time during the week that we were going to get more Monday (tomorrow) but I think that's changed now... last i heard (at the grocery store) we might get some freezing rain instead ? Who knows, it's 50 something and really nice out now - I sure didn't hear this forecast!

  3. I suspect that you had best enjoy Wyatt in the sling while you can. With his length, it won't be long before he puts you in one!!! What a little snuggle bunny he looks like all nestled in the sling. Sure is nice to have your hands free isn't it? have you got books like Pat the Bunny to read to him?

  4. Hey Alice! I hope that you are doing well! I will look forward to seeing you here in a few months :) You will be at the new wool festival, won't you? Yes, it is nice to have "hands free" :) However, once he goes to sleep, I usually try to lay him down, and he most always wakes right up, so. ... still working on that! I have some cute farm books and a sweet little story book about sheep and wool, but I don't have "Pat the Bunny" .. I'll have to look into that! Thanks for stopping by the blog here, I hope to see you in May! Have a great one.
